ABOUT THE EVENT
What is the Melbourne GreenZone Drive and how does it work?
The Melbourne GreenZone Drive is your chance to see first-hand just how easy it is to switch to a low emission vehicle (LEV) for your next new car through the GreenZone Drive.
Kicking off on Monday August 29 and running until Friday September 2, The GreenZone Drive route departs from outside The Rialto on Collins Street, and follows a predetermined route around the city. The drive lasts only a few minutes, but is long enough to show off the real-world everyday performance of LEVs.
At least 7 different vehicles will be available for a test drive at any one time and a variety of Australia's LEVs will be available for the public to sample from Audi, Honda, Nissan, Renault, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Volvo.
During the drive, participants will be accompanied by a representative of the presenting car company who will be able to furnish further details of the environmental friendliness of the vehicle, and explain the company's approach to reducing emissions and environmental sustainability.
At GreenZone Drive HQ at Rialto current and near-future low and zero emission technology will be explained in layman's terms. It will be based at the plaza in between Rialto Towers and the InterContinental Hotel at 525 Collins Street in the city.
Places are limited so book a test drive in advance at greenzonedrive.com.au
